if you have a request for something not listed; if we cannot provide
the service you are looking for we will help you find someone
who can help you.
We offer trailering service for our borders and clients. We will
also trailer outside horses to competition or in the case of an
emergency. We understand emergencies can come without warning
making it hard to find a ride for a sick or injured horse. We
will take emergency calls (for trailering) 24 hours a day, and
will be happy to help if we can.
We have extended experience providing quality lay-up care services such as post surgery treatments, strict stall lay-ups, administering of meds, and wound management. We are also able to restart horses under tack after long lay-ups.

We offer full service (stall or field) boarding for horses in training and retired horses. We strive to give every horse and client personal attention, in order to do this we limit boarding to those in a training program. Occasionally we will have extra space and then we will accept lay-ups as well. Our stall boarding is all full service and includes training rides, grooming (incl. trimming), administering and ordering of supplements, blanketing, after show care (incl. wrap removal), simple laundry service and supplies, etc. Tacking service is also available.

Oakleigh is now accepting students from beginner to advanced, but our main focus is on students who wish to continually improve and eventually compete. We will be happy to talk to anyone to see if they will fit into our program. All lessons are private or semi-private. We feel that both are important, semi-private so students can learn from watching others practice as well as doing it themselves (and we feel it's a little more fun), and private because everyone is different and this enables us to customize the teaching that much more.
We stress horsemanship and holding ourselves to the highest standards. Our main instructor's background is primarily the national hunter jumper circuit. While we want all students to have fun, we will also hold them to the standards of horse care and showmanship experienced at this level. We know everyone's goal may not be to compete at this level, but feel it is important to understand and aspire to these standards.
